The US-Gothrock/Batcave band Saints of Ruin has alreaday established themselves in the US alternative music scene through lots of concerts and festival performances. With „Nightmare“ the band has recorded it’s debut album in the classic tradition of this genre. The album features 11 powerful goth-rock songs, including an interpretation of the classic ‘Concrete Blonde’ song ‘Bloodletting’. The musical style of the band is a mixture of 80s goth roots (e.g. Skeletal Family, Siouxie & The Banshees, Ghost Dance), batcave influences and modern rock music. Singer Ruby Ruin’s voice reflects a pleasant fresh-ness and also sounds intimately familiar. ‘...Evanescence, Sisters of Mercy hybrid.
