2024 brings the 5th album by Belgian krautrockers MOTOR!K, “5”. Like with every new release, this band keeps evolving and exploring new musical horizons while maintaining their signature sound : hypnotic bass lines, pounding drums and repetitive, yet melodic guitar lines combined with heavy fx-laden guitars. Think NEU! meets WIRE. Guitarist/synthesist Joeri Dobbeleir, also the song composer in MOTOR!K, together with Dirk Ivens - Guitar / FX and drummer Dries D'Hollander took their craft to a next level : post-punk and techno influences are melted into a 6-track sonic experience. When you join in their live experience you get indulged into a vortex of heavy psychedelic krautrock and hypnotic visuals, like past gigs at a.o. Roadburn and DesertFest proved.
