Jagged : Autumn Fall - CD
Ref: 18776
If the more directional sounds of the 80s tick your musical boxes then take note of Bristol based Jagged. Their sound is a refined mix of industrial mood and electronica inspired by the likes of Gary Numan and Depeche Mode. This is not to say that Jagged live in the past, their sound is dark, contemporary and prides itself on slick production with haunting vocals of lead singer Iain Brownlie. This is a diverse album that unites atmospheric synth keyboards, rifting guitars and electro bleeps that create a darker version of electro-pop. In all, Jagged have the potential to appeal to a mixed audience of die-hard industrial fans, the electronica crowd and indie-kids alike. Along with the band's dance floor and remix friendly tracks comes the fact that this is a group who can really write catchy anthemic songs with meaningful and sometimes mysterious lyrics to boot. Whilst 80s-inspired music trends may come and go, Jagged have polished a sound all of their own as well as personal style that appeal to club land and have music's more critical audience intrigued. Stand out tracks include the opening kick that is Burning, In this Room and Rewind & Erase, which has debut single written all over it and their cover of Visage's Damned Don't Cry which acts as the ideal introduction to the band's musical template.Tracks: 01 Burning 02 Truth 03 Autumn Fall 04 In This Room 05 Break Out 06 Searching 07 Marie 08 Damned Don't Cry 09 Rewind & Erase 10 In This Studio (bonus QuickTime video)
