These 4 albums were re-release in Russia by OTHER Voices and in Argentina by TWILIGHT already some time ago, but it's only now that we are able to offer all of them. A little bit of history: Anything Box began in the music room' (an empty room in their home, filled with music equipment) of lead singer/songwriter Claude S . The charge from painting and musical work was an escape from the banality of everyday life in Paterson NJ, a small urban town. Amidst the drug deals outside his kitchen window and bar fights across the street, Claude dove within the introverted comfort of songwriting influenced by Pink Floyd, Joy Division, New Order, Kraftwerk and others. It was armed with his synthesizers, a drum machine and an upcoming show that led him to Dania Morales , a girl he met at a club they both frequented. Together they did that first show, and became good friends and allies in the fight to crawl to the top of the heap of bands during that period in 1986. They succeeded, even playing CBGBs in NYC and clubs as far as Philadelphia. It was during the later part of 1987 where radio took notice and Anything Box was being played on college stations in NJ. In 1989 Anything Box managed the impossible by releasing independent music on cassettes, and found their own way to California, where they will lose a member and meet Paul Rjinders , the missing piece of the puzzle. As this triple force, they were signed to a major label and toured relentlessly. Although their roles would change from time to time, this is the trio that stands in the present, yet moves deeper into the future
After 25 releases and over 300 shows to match, Abox (as they are known to their fans) has since become an international delegate of electronic music. Live, their energy is matched only by their antics and the screams from their adoring fans. With Paul on guitars, Dania on keyboards, and Claude at the mic, they have created an ever-evolving sonic signature. In a word, elektrodelic
