FINALLY a re-release of one of the most famous and successful, Neofolk albums in German scene! Originally released in December 2006, the album's first edition was sold out in 2015. A second, very limited print from late 2017 lasted only few month and the album was deleted since March 2018, although there were several re-releases on Vinyl and Tape (on Fronte Nordico, Lichterklang, UrKult...). Here now a third print of this absolute CLASSIC of German acoustic Neofolk, by many regarded as one of the most important albums of the genre. From Newsletter 495 (27 december 2006) : Darkwood proved to be one of the most prolific and outstanding German neofolk bands. The new studio album is certainly the most forceful recording so far. It combines martial acoustic songs and dark folk tunes, using acoustic sources like guitars, classical instruments, organic drums, and distorted basses. The 10 tracks dedicated to Youth & Fire are the perfect soundtrack for winter solstice. The already high standards after the latest album "Herbstgewölk" are set even higher now!
