Psyclon Nine : And then Oblivion - CD
Ref: 24673
Melding elements of Industrial Rock, Metal, Deathcore, Dark Ambient, 'And Then Oblivion' sees the cult US act further cement its status as lords of the Blackened Industrial scene, meanwhile pushing its musical boundaries towards an individualistic strand of heavy electrometal, achieved via a combination of juddering guitars, sheet metal percussion and thoroughly unholy electronics. Band mastermind Nero Bellum about the first single I choose Violence: I specifically set out to break as many genre limitations as possible with this song, while staying true to the concepts and imagery that Psyclon Nine evokes. Lyrically, it's a reflection of the world we live in. An anthem for the unseen and unheard. Psyclon Nine will headline a 22 date North American Devils Work' tour (from 31st January), while there are plans to tour Europe later in the year. Since forming in 2000, Psyclon Nine has cemented a reputation as one of the most infamous yet successful bands of the Industrial and Metal crossover scenes, often credited as being the founders of the Blackened Industrial sub-genre. The band's new album sees them charting undefined musical territory that bridged metalcore with doom electronics, trip-techno with black metal and experimental cinematic soundscapes with alternative.
