The American musician CARRELLEE has been musically active for a long time, released several albums has toured extensively, notably also as live band member of cult act IAMX . At the time, however, she was still more of a Singer/Songwriter with Folk sounds before she discovered Synthesizers and radically changed her musical style. The change was completed in 2022 with the album „Scale of Dreams“ - and the subsequent remix album „Rescaled“ – both released on Negative Gain to much acclaim. Carrellee overlays delicately sensual vocals over a wall of scorched synths and processed tapes. Now CARRELLEE is reaching out to an international audience with her self-titled second regular album on YOUNG & COLD. With her very own mixture of Electro, Synthpop, Ddarkwave and Dreampop, with a little bit of Italo-Disco thrown in here and there, CARRELLEE will quickly win over listeners and get the Clubs dancing. If live performances are also added at some point, nothing stands in the way of greater success. The song „Like a Ghost“, which was released digitally in advance, clearly shows the direction they are heading in, perhaps describable as a mixture of Client or Technique on the one hand and Tamaryn on the other. With songs like „Bonnie & Clyde“ or „Your Touch Kills Me“, you could even think of an „Underground“ version of Chappell Roan here and there, even if that seems far-fetched. There is definitely hit potential, so that success beyond the „scene“ is possible. CARRELLEE is sure to make an impression with this album, which offers a fresh dose of Electro-Pop.
